No. Phantom Scan is a prank and simulator app made purely for entertainment. The radar, spirit signals, ghost profiles, sounds and camera effects are all fictional. It cannot detect or measure real ghosts, spirits or any paranormal activity.
The radar is an animated simulation. It sweeps and shows made-up “spirit” blips to build suspense for a fun ghost hunt — the positions are generated for effect, not from any real sensor.
No. The ghost-camera feature adds fictional overlays and filters on top of your live camera preview so it looks like a spooky sighting. The camera image is processed on your device to draw the effect.
Use the record button to capture a clip. Recording may use your camera and, if you allow it, your microphone. The video is saved to your device so you can share it through your usual apps. You control whether to grant the camera and microphone permissions.
The App has scary sounds and horror-style visuals, so it may receive a Teen (or higher) content rating and is not aimed at young children. Please prank responsibly and avoid scaring people who may be vulnerable.
The core fun — radar, ghost camera, sounds and profiles — works offline. An internet connection is used for ads and analytics.
The app is free and supported by ads. There are currently no in-app purchases or subscriptions, so there's nothing to cancel or restore. If paid features are added later, the price will be shown before you buy.
If a consent prompt appeared when you first opened the app, you can decline personalized ads there. You can also reset or opt out of your Advertising ID in Android via Settings → Privacy → Ads. Clearing app data lets the prompt appear again.
Your settings and recordings stay on your device, and the ghost-camera effect is processed on your device. Because the free app is ad-supported, we use Google Firebase, Google AdMob, Adjust and the Meta (Facebook) SDK, which process limited device and advertising identifiers. We do not access your contacts, SMS or precise location. See our Privacy Policy.
Delete your saved recordings, then clear the app's storage (Settings → Apps → Phantom Scan → Storage → Clear data) or uninstall the app. To request deletion of any data held by us or our partners, email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
